Zotty Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

Zotty (“we”, “the app”) is a personal notes and expenses application for Apple devices.

Data we store on your device

Notes, folders, tags, expenses, preferences, and AI settings are stored locally on your device (SwiftData / files). We do not operate a Zotty cloud backend that receives your note content by default.

Optional features

  • Biometric lock: Uses Face ID / Touch ID on-device via Apple’s LocalAuthentication. Biometric data never leaves your device.
  • Reminders: Local notifications scheduled on your device.
  • Voice notes: Microphone audio is recorded and stored on your device.
  • AI (optional):
  • - On-device / Apple Intelligence when available.

    - Your own API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.) are stored in the Keychain on your device and sent only to the provider you configure.

    - Local LLM (LM Studio / Ollama) stays on your local network; we do not receive that traffic.

  • Google Drive sync (when configured): If you connect Google Drive, selected sync data is sent to Google under your account and Google’s policies.
  • iCloud sync (when enabled): Uses Apple iCloud / CloudKit under your Apple ID.
  • Purchases

Subscriptions and lifetime unlocks are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.

    Tracking

Zotty does not use App Tracking Transparency tracking, third-party ad networks, or analytics SDKs that track you across apps.

    Diagnostics (optional / limited)

If an unexpected technical error occurs, the app may send a short diagnostic report to our servers so we can email ourselves an alert. Reports may include app version, OS version, locale, and an error message/stack. They do not include your notes, expenses, voice recordings, or API keys.

    Children

Zotty is not directed at children under 13.
